In the recent years, as we all know, there are so many crimes done by regular people just like us. A criminal case was happened in some universities and schools in United States where a student came to the campus and shoots everyone. After that, the suspect killed himself so it left us wondering the motives that have been the background of the action.However, knowing the criminal case' number has been increasing, we should be aware of gun owning by some people. We have to start worrying of why the state can let the fact that more and more guns are owned by civilian and not the polices. There should be a gun control that the government must consider.

What is Gun Control? Let me brief you simply.Gun control is the law that used to rule the owning of gun for the civilian people. It decides whether civilian people can own a gun or not.Gun control is needed to improve the safety for the people who are disarmed by that. The purposes are to render the people who are helpless and to deny self-sufficiency to the victims of it. The same technique is being used by the countries where you can rarely find the civilian ownership of arms.Now we can see the dilemma of gun control law. If the gun control prohibits the ownership of personal defense weapons, civilian people who become the target of the crime would not be able to defense themselves. The criminals can rob, rape, or even murder with no worries. The intended victims are disarmed and this has become a beneficial factor for them. But if it is allowed, any civilian people who are used to be harmless can suddenly become a criminal with the gun, just like the case shown above.

That is why, in the United States, people have protested of why the guns can be used to guard the President, Congress members, bank guards, etc. On the other side, the law is prohibiting the civilian to protect themselves from the criminal. It is considered hypocrite.Some harsh critics have even mentioned that gun control is a way to control people because it makes them defenseless. Being defenseless means to give away your everything when a criminal act happens to you.There should be a solution for this, such as psychological test for the gun owners once a year so that it can be seen whether he is healthy enough to own a gun or not, or probably having a complete data of gun owners in the country so whenever there is a criminal act done by the person, the license can be taken and he or she is not allowed to own gun again for the rest of his life.
